If you want Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to notify you when a certain cell condition exists, then users must use a cell formatting option. Users can make the format change to flag a user that a certain cell condition is met. Changing the cell format when meeting a certain condition is often inadequate for users, because the cell may not be directly visible. For example, the special formatting might be taking place on another worksheet and the user may have no idea that the cell condition is met.
