Workbook/Sheet Hyperlinking & alternatives
Mkalsem had a main workbook and 3 sub workbooks. He wanted to be able
to click in a cell and have that command take him to a specific page in a
different workbook. He was having trouble getting the hyperlinks to work.
Chris Davison suggested taking a picture of the destination location via
the camera utility then paste this into your main workbook.
When you double click the image, it will hyperlink you to the source
To set up the Camera utility, try the following:

Scroll down the tools options and click the
Camera icon and drag it to
your toolbar, you should now have a camera sitting on your toolbar.
To use it, highlight your cells in question and click the
Camera, this
will take a snapshot of those cells (Dave Hawley pointed out that you can also
get a 'picture' of your cells by selecting them, hold down the Shift key
and going to Edit>Copy Picture) - now go to where you want
to show them as an image, paste and resize the image to suit.
NB - If your source cells change, the image will also change, similar to a
linked cell.
royUK explained that you can set up hyperlinks to a sheet or named range
in a workbook or another workbook by using the Insert>Hyperlink
method.
