Using command line arguments you can order Active-File Backup Expert to create or restore a backup without any interaction with you. It lets to use Active-File Backup Expert in any automation utility to make scheduled backups.
Active-File Backup Expert supports an ActiveX Automation, so you can control it within your own application;

Now the Active-File Backup Expert supports the CD-writing facility of Windows XP. You can output your backups to a CD-Recorder whether the inserted disc is blank, multi-session ISO 9660, or UDF disc.

Two Active-File Backup Expert Editions
The Active File Backup Expert exists as two different editions: Standard (Std) and Professional (Pro).
We recommend the Standard Edition to individual and home users to create backups of local files and to synchronize files between two or more PCs. Operation with this version is relatively simple and doesn't require any special skill. Though the Standard edition is compact and more simple, it is enough for most backup tasks.
The Pro Edition is mostly intended for corporative and experienced users who need more flexible and powerful backup tool to back up the local-area network or create the unattended backups. In addition to features of the Standard Edition the Pro Edition has a number of advanced features (see the table below).
The Active-File Backup Expert Pro installation package contains our Active Task Manager automation tool. Not only it provides the Active-File Backup Expert with the ability to create unattended backups. You are free to use the Active Task Manager to schedule your other tasks.
